PRO Stealth Curved and Stealth saddles

PRO is Shimano’s non-drivetrain parts company and, like Shimano, its products rarely miss the mark. The new Curved saddle means the Stealth range now has 10 offerings of slightly different shapes and materials.

Stealth (left) and Stealth Curved (right)

As the name suggests, the Curved model’s wings at the back curve downwards slightly. It also has a wider cut-out and broader nose than the original Stealth shape. It’s designed for riders who wriggle in the saddle but are also quite flexible through their hips and back and like to get aero. (Riders who shift from left to right while pedalling can opt for the PRO Griffon saddle.)

The new generation Stealth model retains its flat shape, wide cut-out (which is 12% wider than its predecessor), and stubby shape. The carbon-railed version is a mere 161 grams, which is about as light as it gets for a saddle with this amount of padding.

Both the Stealth Curved and the new Stealth are available in 142mm and 152mm wide fits. They each have a Team and a Performance model, carrying carbon rails and stainless-steel rails respectively.

All sound a bit confusing? PRO has a helpful saddle selector, which takes the guesswork out for those looking for a new throne.
